ADVANCED FEMALE COACHING
MIND | BODY | LIFESTYLE
The truth is, when health is compromised, be it mentally, physically or emotionally, everything else in our lives starts to suffer.
And in the interest of speaking openly, it’s unlikely you’ve found this page by chance.
The majority of women who find their way to me are in a poor state of health;
You may be struggling with a medical condition, hormonal or metabolic dysregulation, a long standing battle with weight management or your relationship with food
…let alone the anxiety and other emotional challenges that often accompany such issues…
so you’re here because you’re looking for a solution.
And not simply for one that’s designed to tackle the ‘physical’ problem, but for one that will help you address the bigger picture —
I understand the intricacies of health and how it affects your relationship with yourself better than most…
Aside to dedicating the last 14 years of my career to supporting (at this stage, hundreds) of female clients in the management of various different health conditions, I have also been through the process myself.
10 years ago I found myself at breaking point.
I was studying - in my final year of higher level education - whilst working to establish myself as a Trainer and lay the foundations for what has since become an ever evolving coaching business. The romantic relationship I was in at that time was under considerable strain and I was also attempting to deal with other significant stressors within my personal life.
I didn’t realise that the chronic, and frankly debilitating, digestive and hormonal issues I was experiencing, which caused my body to look swollen and inflamed, were so strongly linked to the wider context of what was happening around me.
Despite exercise being my main ‘outlet’ for stress at that time, my weight sat over 10kg heavier than what is now my natural, effortless baseline.
When I consider how I tried to approach these issues, let’s just say, I wish I’d known then, what I know now.
My first mistake was a refusal to rest.
I could not switch off.
Everything I did was driven by a relentless, innate pressure to feel busy, productive and worthwhile. Feeling ‘in control’ was the vehicle by which I coped (aka escaped). And as a result, I buried myself in work.
Without even knowing it, I was living in survival mode.
Now, I’m not sharing this with you because my story is particularly special…
…I’m sharing it because my experience, as it happens, is not remotely unique.
Issues like this are, in fact (sadly), common place amongst the type of women I tend to work and consult with.
My clients are ambitious women.
They are motivated to live in accordance with their values, often work in demanding industries and / or have significant responsibilities and demands on their time.
In many cases, they also feel ‘stuck’.
They describe themselves as stressed, exhausted and overwhelmed and as though they’re trapped inside a body that isn’t truly their own.
It’s not uncommon for clients to come to me feeling as though they’ve already ‘tried everything’.
And although there is usually some awareness around more obvious sticking points (including unresolved issues with food and body image), the real reason they’re struggling is because the underlying problem has yet to be addressed…
